2008

this year was challenging but it's been real. the year of roller-coaster events. a lot of good times, a few bad. i have absolutely no regrets this year. i came, i saw, i conquered. i traveled to my hearts content and loved every minute of it. truly blessed and would not change a thing. HAPPY NEW YEAR IN 2009... the best is yet to come.

back to friggin work.

this weekend was amazing... didn't want it to end. my uncle's wedding was straight bombtastic. i didn't want to leave MTL, but duty calls. working tomorrow... and friggin early in the morning of NEW YEAR'S EVE! eww i've never in my life worked on NEW YEAR'S EVE, EVER! but there is a first for everything, and i hope the store is hella dead. then i can party it up on New Year's Day. to everyone hoping to see the pics of Erwin & Joanne's Wedding, please stand by... i need time to upload them all on my slow ass laptop!

TECKTONIK!?!?

so my cousin told me about this dance craze from Europe, that is now very popular in Montreal, especially in the West Island. It is called "Tecktonik". i just heard about it the other day from my younger cousin, so she showed me a few videos from YouTube. to be honest, i'm loving Yelle's "A Cause Des Garcons". it's hella old but whatever. no frontin'. totally reminds me of late 80's electro/trance tracks... enjoy!

I'm hoping that everyone had a great Christmas, regardless if you were being naughty, or nice. As for me, my Christmas was amazing and my family is EVERYTHING! Congrats to the new additions in my wonderful family, "Welcome to the family Auntie Joey". My Uncle and "new" Aunt's wedding was on December 27th, and i was so glad to be there with them and the rest of our family to celebrate the momentus occassion. Secondly congrats to my Uncle Richard and his girlfriend Auntie Tracy on their soon to be baby boy Noah who will be on the way in March 2009. I thank God for all the great blessings in this family... and may he continue to bless us forever!

christmas eve.

i've been thinking a lot lately about my life and how much it's changed and how much i've changed over the past year. i swear on my life that at age 23, this year was my turning point. i've become an individual instead of being known only as a part of a group, click, pack, mobb. i think i've always yearned for that acknowledgement. not to say that being part of a group is a bad thing, but we all want to strive on our own, make our own way. you feel more accomplished when that happens.

i'm off to Montreal tomorrow morning, Christmas Eve travels for me & the fam. This whole weekend is gonna be crazy off the heezy, fo sheezy! My Uncle's wedding this Saturday, the day after BOXING DAY? What a trip right? I can't believe this year is almost over, just a few more days... still gotta put up some posts of some of my great hits and sad misses of this year. 2008 was great... but 2009 is MINE! i'll be turning 24 is less than a month... i'm psyched!

welcome readers to the first blog post of "EH to ZED". this blog will feature posts of current fashion, music, arts, food & drink, movies, hits & misses through the eyes of myself, Elle Boogie. first off the name is Elle Boogie, Liza Baltazar to be exact. i'm a 23 year old Toronto-nian, raised in the suburbs of Scarborough. My ethnic background is filipino, chinese & spanish. i am currently working in downtown Toronto, but in my spare time i do a lot of shopping, movie watching, finding out the lastest in restaurants, music & arts and i love designing. that is partially why i decided to make this blog, just to capture most of my daily intakes. hope you all enjoy.
